This policy explains what personal information Stepio collects when you visit trystepio.com or buy from us, why we collect it, and what control you have over it.
1. What we collect
You give us: name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number if you provide one, the content of any message you send us, and any review, photo or video you share.
Collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, how you reached the Site, and cookie identifiers.
We never see your full card number. Payment details go directly to our payment processors.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. The product is for children, but the account, the order and the communication all belong to the adult buyer. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
2. Why we use it
To take and ship your order, to handle returns and refunds, to answer your questions, to prevent fraud, to meet our legal and tax obligations, to measure how the Site performs, and, where you have agreed, to send you marketing emails.
3. Who we share it with
Only with the service providers we need to run the business, and only for that purpose: Shopify (store platform and checkout), our payment processors, our shipping carriers and fulfilment partner, our email provider, and our analytics and advertising platforms. We also share information where the law requires it, or to protect our rights. We do not sell your personal information for money. Sharing data with advertising platforms may count as a "sale" or "sharing" under some US state privacy laws; you can opt out at any time using the link in our cookie banner or by emailing us.
4. Cookies
We use cookies that are strictly necessary to run the cart and checkout, plus analytics and advertising cookies where you have accepted them. You can refuse non-essential cookies in the banner and change your mind later through the same control, or block cookies in your browser. Blocking essential cookies will break checkout.
5. How long we keep it
Order and transaction records: as long as tax and accounting law requires, generally 7 years. Support messages: 3 years. Marketing contact details: until you unsubscribe, then we keep a minimal record so we do not contact you again.
6. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for marketing. If you are in California, you also have the right to know what we collect and share, to delete it, to correct it, to opt out of sale or sharing, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. If you are in the EU or UK, you additionally have the right to data portability, to object to processing, and to complain to your data protection authority.
To exercise any of these, email support@trystepio.com. We reply within 30 days and we may ask you to confirm your identity first.
7. Security
The Site runs over HTTPS and our platform providers hold recognised security certifications. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data.
8. International transfers
Our providers may process data in the United States and elsewhere. Where data leaves the EU or UK, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
9. Changes
If we change this policy materially, we will update the date above and, where required, tell you by email.
